ABOUT ABOUT

H.O.P.E. Players' production of SEUSSICAL is a family-friendly, fantastical, magical, musical extravaganza! TONY winners Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty have lovingly scripted and brought to life all of our favorite Dr. Seuss characters, including Horton the Elephant, The Cat in the Hat, Gertrude McFuzz, lazy Mayzie, and a little boy with a big imagination--Jojo.

The Cat in the Hat tells the story of Horton, an elephant who discovers a speck of dust containing Whos, including Jojo, a Who child sent off to military school for thinking too many "thinks." Horton faces a double challenge--not only must he protect the Whos from a world of naysayers and dangers, but he must guard an abandoned egg, left to his care by the irresponsible Mayzie La Bird. Although Horton faces ridicule, danger, kidnapping, and a trial, the intrepid Gertrude McFuzz never loses faith in him. Ultimately, the powers of friendship, loyalty, family, and community are challenged and emerge triumphant.

Proceeds will benefit Project Linus, My Stuff Bags Foundation, and the Special Olympics.

H.O.P.E. Players is proud to present SEUSSICAL with special arrangements through MTI!

Note- Our 2pm Saturday Saturday 9/19 matinee is a Sensory-Friendly performance which is a wonderful option for many of our friends . Sensory-Friendly basically means that we turn down the theatrical lighting & sound while we bring up the house lights a bit to make it a more comfortable atmosphere for guests with special needs, sensitivity to light/sound, and young children. We will also hold a short Meet and Greet with the characters before the matinee for added comfort!....AND because we love meeting our supporters:)
